So - inspired by the Clouds365 project, and by watching a programme about clouds made by The Cloud Appreciation Society, I thought I should make more of an effort to lug my camera around with me and take pictures of the gorgeous clouds - and even the less gorgeous ones (like those covering the sky tonight - in fact all of today...) So, starting today, I'm going to make an effort to post a cloud a day - I'll try and make them look pretty, I promise, but... well, I suspect I won't always manage it, witness today's pic...
In further cloud-news, if you live in England, then The National Climate Survey is calling for your help between March-June this year. They'd like as many people as possible to look out for and record contrails in the sky, to help them find out how contrails may be affecting the weather and climate.
If it weren't for all that nimbostratus out there (well, and the fact that it's dark), there might be loads of contrails out there right now, because I can hear fighter jets roaring in the distance, and not long ago another flight of them passed very close by... although perhaps they don't make contrails as much as the slower jets... Hmmn - I'll have to find out...
