Funny you should mention clouds...

because these had me reaching for the camera this last week or so.

Is it a cloud, is it a plane?

Well, a bit of both, I think. We live under a major flight path and I think this must be vapour trail which has spiralled out gently in an almost windless atmosphere. As you can see from this second one it was quite big. Does that count as a cloud, do you think?
And here is a pretty melange of cloud types, taken from the cloister at Gloucester Cathedral a week or so ago. I was actually taking some photos of some of the amazing sculptures on display there at the moment, but can never resist a good cloud picture!

This one was taken a week ago, from the pub in the Cotswolds where we were having lunch. Taken directly into the sun which earned a tut from my more expert OH! Again, quite fine cloud and very high and wispy but rather pretty.

And yesterday, I spotted this from our back garden - corrugated cloud! So I went round to the front to see that my usual view to the hill looked like this - and in between was this . What a mixture!

I'm not very up on the names of the different sorts of clouds but if anyone wants to label them, please feel free!
